How I work

Language courses:

Each course starts with a placement test to determine your current level of English and a needs analysis interview to set out the aims and objectives of the lessons. This is followed by a course proposal.

There is a wide range of material on the market for business and general English. The selection of the most suitable course material differs according to your job, your level of English, your learning style, needs and objectives. I will advise you in this process. It is often possible to incorporate some of your own materials into a course.
A progress report may be provided at the end of the course.
Group courses generally comprise students from the same school or company with similar learning needs, level of English and objectives.
I recommend groups of a maximum of 12 students.
Group courses involve a great deal of cooperative learning and conversation practice. An essential element in this is the ‘fun factor’. Learning a new language should be fun and when we are having fun we will relax and enjoy learning. This in turn will lead to increased motivation to learn and ultimately a more successful learning experience.

The personal touch:

Intake: personal interview and setting out of goals
Agenda: flexibility in course planning to meet your personal situation. Lessons are planned individually so there is no obligation to plan lessons weeks in advance.
Course content: personal input in the selection of materials and topics.
Approach: attention given to personal learning style, difficulties and preferences
